Annual Oyster and Hot Dog Roast

TICC members should have received a letter in the mail with details on paying your 2018 dues (ONLY $60 for the year!) and the benefits that membership brings. This includes an invitation to the annual TICC Oyster & Weenie Roast on 2/3 starting at 3pm. It's FREE for members! Non-members are welcome. However, if you are a non-member and eat oysters, there is a fee - $15/adult, $10/child (12 and under).

BYOB

Please bring a dish (appetizer, side, or dessert) to share.

Bring your own oyster knives if you have them.

You must RSVP for your household on or before Thursday, 1/25 so that we have time to order the oysters.

Member's dues for 2018 should be paid prior to the event. Any Talahi Island resident interested in joining can contact TICC through this page or by emailing

Chatham Strategic Planning Meeting

Some of you might have received a phone call inviting you to attend a strategic planning meeting at Islands Library on 10/10 from 6:00 to 7:30.

The information gathered will be compiled and used during a Solutions Summit where we will explore opportunities and prioritize goals.

Second Annual All-Island Yard Sale

Saturday, June 3
8:00--4:00
Come sell your stuff and meet your neighbors at the park on Talahi. 

$10 will get you a space for your table, chairs, awning or umbrella and your merchandise. 

Bounce house for kids ($1 per child - all day) and burgers and dogs served 11am-1pm. Cold drinks and waters .50 cents. Music!

All unsold merchandise must be removed by 4 pm. No early bird shoppers please...

Monday, May 8

 We'll be having a TICC meeting at 6:30 on Monday, May 8, to discuss old business and new, including our building improvement plans and upcoming events.  Due to recent break-ins in our neighborhood and those nearby, the Islands Resource Officer, Hillary Nielsen, will be at the meeting.  If you are not currently a member and you're interested in joining, please come and meet us.  Yearly dues are $60 per household.

We will be providing burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips, soda and water at no cost to members (your household, includes kids).  Additional guests and non-members are $5.  
We will have football on the big screen.

Fall Festival Organizational Meeting

We will organize our fall festival, please attend!

Mark your calendars for Saturday 11/12 from 11-4. 

We need vendors, game booths, auction items, volunteers, flyers to be disbursed to schools/businesses, bake sale items, cakes for the cake walk, etc.

Lots and lots of help is needed.  Please let us know if you have any ideas or can sign up for any of the above.  We will be sending out more information as we get closer.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Join us on May 2 at 7:00 pm.
An officer will be in attendance and will help us get an "official" neighborhood watch started as a community. 

Light refreshments will be provided.

Clean-up Day Spring 2016

Thanks to everyone who came out to help with our clean-up day.  In addition to clearing brush and sprucing up the landscaping, we also installed four new picnic tables and planted six elm trees as a start for our Talahi Island Park upgrade.

Annual Outdoor Clean Up and Landscaping:

Saturday 3/5 9-11am.  Please bring rakes, blowers, shovels, gloves, clippers, weed eaters, etc. 

2016 Free Members Event at TICC:

Saturday 4/2 will be our annual member Oyster Roast

More details to follow.  Please save the date.  This is a free event for members.  Guests will be an additional charge. 

Next Meeting: Monday 4/11 at 6:30pm – we will organize our dinner fundraiser, please attend.  We need as much help as possible.

TICC Meeting

Our goal for TICC is to foster a sense of community for our beloved neighborhood though various events throughout the year & quarterly meetings to keep up with all the happenings on Talahi and surrounding islands.

It is so important to get to know your neighbors, and what better way than through the TICC! 

We will hold our first meeting of 2016 on Monday, January 25th at 6:30 in the community center. Please come out and show your support for our neighborhood!

Chatham County Sheriff, Roy Harris, will be joining us as a guest speaker. He will gladly take questions as well! 

We would love to have everyone come out!! 

Membership forms will be available if you didn't receive one in the mail.
