Playground Plan!

Having completed many improvements on our building, we are excited to move our sights onto the adjoining field.  With the expertise of neighbor, and playground designer, Tanya Mandel, TICC has created a master plan for the Talahi Island Park (please see the attached Park Master Plan).  This park will benefit all residents of Talahi Island - the opportunity to have parties under the pavilion, your children having a safe place to go to play, a tennis court in your neighborhood, the walking path with exercise stations, a golf cart connector route between Quarterman and Baker Drive, and most excitedly - raising the property value of your home!

The TICC Board has broken down the Park Master Plan into phases.  Phase 1 consists of the pavilion, a propane grill, picnic tables, pathways, benches, tables under the pavilion, and minor landscaping.  It is our goal to finish Phase 1 by December 2016.  We estimate the cost of Phase 1 to be $17,000.  The items in Phase 1 were chosen due to the fact that most of them will be able to be built by neighborhood volunteers (unlike the playground which will need to be installed professionally).

Park Plan Information Packets will be available for all neighbors at the TICC Fall Festival, Sunday, Oct. 19th from 11-4pm.  Please visit the Talahi Island Park booth to pick yours up and see the Park Master Plan boards. Additionally, the proceeds from the Silent Auction during the Fall Festival will all go to the Park Fund.  Please come and bid!

We are so excited to start this project and we hope you are too!
